Further Details
The 24-year-old Florida mom, Jaquoia Xiaxiana Collins, was arrested in Cantonment, about 20 miles north of Pensacola, after Midnight on Sunday. She was charged for the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, Quartz McShane. She allegedly committed the crime just 20 minutes after warning her Facebook followers that a woman should never let a man “put his hands on you.”
Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call from Wild Oak Farms Apartments in Cantonment, about 20 miles northwest of Pensacola. According to the official reports, on their arrival, the deputies saw McShane unresponsive and lying in the road near the driver’s side door of a Mitsubishi Gallant. McShane was stabbed in the chest and was found with a one-and-a-half-inch puncture wound in his sternum. He was soon transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injury and was declared dead at 12:22 a.m. Sunday. As a part of the investigation, the police saw what Collins had written on her Facebook page. She wrote, “Ladies, NEVER let a Boy put his hands on You cs a Real MAN ain’t Going for it.” The post was deleted afterwards.
Law proceedings
She was arrested on the charge of second-degree murder and booked into the Escambia County Jail. On Monday’s actions in court, McShane’s mother, Samantha Allen, told the judge that Collins was a good mother and that she forgave and loved her. Samantha was in tears when she asked the judge to set a bond for Collins.
The judge ordered Collins held without bond as he believed that there was probable cause to suspect that Collins committed the crime.
