Netflix released the trailer of its new upcoming comedy movie “Otherhood.”
Netflix has dropped the trailer for its new film called Otherhood on 10th of July. The film is based on the novel “Whatever makes you happy written by William Sutcliffe.
The movie was going to be released on April 26, but the date was shifted because of Huffman’s involvement in the college admissions scandal. Now it would have its world premiere at 51Fest on 21st July, and it would be released on Netflix on August 2nd.
The movie is written and directed by Cindy Chupack under the Mandalay Pictures and Welles Entertainment starring Angela Bassett, Felicity Huffman, and Patricia Arquette. Cindy directed the famous movie series- Sex and the city because of which people are expecting a lot from this upcoming movie.
The film is about the story of three mothers who have been friends for a long time decide to drive to New York City with the hope to reconnect with their adult sons.
At the beginning of the trailer Arquette says that ” At this stage, it doesn’t feel like motherhood, it feels like otherhood.”
Saying that ” We are not on a vacation we are on a mission,” the mothers try to get back their motherhood and mend their mother-son bonds. The three of them arrive at their sons home expecting “They can deal with having us in their homes for a few days, they were in ours for 18 years”.
However, while trying to get back in their sons’ lives, the trio realizes that there are much more things that need to be changed in their lives and relationships with others.
Watching the trailer, the movie is expected to be more than a comedy with a profound meaning and a more significant lesson to be learned by all.
