A 66-year-old Oregon photographer, Randall DeWitt Simons, has been arrested under the crime of child pornography. He is known for taking photographs of JonBenet Ramsey, a child beauty queen from Colorado.
Randall Simons was the photographer for child Colorado beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey. He was her photographer for some time before her murder in 1996. Simons later sold photographs of JonBenet Ramsey in makeup and curls.
The photographs were sold for $7500. Randall Simons claimed that he hoped that the worldwide exposure would definitely lead to the murderer of the child. However, later he acknowledged that selling those photographs of Late JonBenet Ramsey could stir a lot of controversies. It could also risk his career as a photographer.
Randall Simons, this time has been charged with 15 counts of second-degree encouraging child sex abuse. Police said that he downloaded child pornography on his personal computer. In the first week of July, the authorities issued a search warrant on Randall Simons’s house. During their search, the police found out four laptops, three camcorders, two bags of writable optical discs, and six cameras.
According to the Register-Guard of Eugene, Oregon, the suspect, Randall Simons had been using a restaurant’s Wi-Fi system to download explicit images of children.
Till date, JonBenet Ramsey’s murder mystery remains unsolved. In 1996, Ramsey’ father John Ramsey discovered the body of the former “Little Miss Colorado” in a basement room. She was missing for hours before her murder. Reportedly the child model had been hit on the head and strangled with a crude garrotte. Ramsey was also sexually assaulted. Till now, no one has been arrested in connection with the case.

In Randall Simons, child pornography case, the officials are searching for clues. They are asking the parents to contact Oakridge Police and the Lane County Sheriff’s Office if they have ever left their children unattended with the man.
