4 months old Dylan Groves had a troubled beginning of life with his parents; he was born with traces of drugs in his body because of which he was placed into the custody of children’s care services.

He was handed back over to his parents when his dad completed the requirements to become capable of taking care of the child. But later Daniel became careless and started missing court dates, home visits and doctor’s appointments.

On May 3, when a boy from the services was unable to contact the couple, he reported the authorities for help.

After three weeks of unsuccessful search of the family, deputies located the parents riding near their house in a car; But they escaped into the woods.

On 10th June a search warrant for Daniel’s home was executed Daniel refused to come outside the house which leads to a six-hour standoff before he was arrested, Jessica was also taken into custody.

The two of them were interrogated, and from the entire investigation, it was concluded that the baby boy Daniel died somewhere in March, but the cause of death was unclear. Thus, Dylan’s body has been sent for autopsy at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Jessica is now being held on a $100,000 bond while Daniel is being held without any bond.
