Social media star Ray Diaz has been arrested for alleged sexual assault. He was arrested on Friday and is being held at the Los Angeles police department. A bail of $500,000 has been set for his release.
The police in a tweet said that LAPD detective from Elite Robbery-Homicide Division Special Assault Section arrested the 33-year-old, Ray Diaz at 5 a.m for Alleged sexual assault in San Diego, CA, with the help of San Diego PD. The Los Angeles County inmate booking records showed that Diaz was turned over to the LAPD jail division at 9:20 p.m.

The arrest was made after a video surfaced online which shows a man, alleged to be Diaz, screaming and hitting an underage girl. The video was posted online on July 5 by 17-year-old Angelica Salek. The girl in the video who was allegedly assaulted by Diaz is her. According to her, She and Diaz dated for a year.
While Diaz denied all the claims made by the girl, he said that the video was of acting lessons and it was fake. He said that the screaming and yelling was done by him in every audition with Angelica to get the emotions flowing.
Salek said that her goal was not to hurt anyone or put them behind bars. Her only goal was to bring awareness and show that it’s not ok to be in an abusive relationship. She wants to make it clear that it’s OK to speak out when faced with similar situations. Salek added that she was manipulated and brainwashed into thinking that she was in love. She has now realised that it was the furthest thing from love and she knows now that it was not ok. She also requested people to speak out when in an abusive relationship.
Diaz’s Instagram account has been set to private, and there is no information about his lawyer. YouTuber Keemstar posted the clip on his most recent DramaAlert episode on YouTube.
