Mexican Woman Accused Of Torturing Children & Boiling Their Puppies

A woman in New Mexico is now facing court after serious accusations of abusing her children and animal cruelty.

The Allegations and The Charges

Martha Crouch, a resident of San Juan County, is being charged with child abuse, animal cruelty and obstruction of an investigation into the same child abuse, as reported by CNN. She will appear in court this Wednesday. This takes place following accusations that she tortured many among her 15 children and even took their litter of newborn puppies and boiled them in a large sealed pot.

The criminal complaint released by the New Mexico Police Department gives details of the children’s statements. She reportedly shot one child in the arm with a shotgun while he was taking out some trash. She also put one of her daughters on a “fat chain” for eating too much and beat another one, causing the daughter to miscarry.

Their teenaged (17 years old) daughter was the one who brought the accusation of the puppies forward. She even reported that the mother had beat the children with a metal ladle and a spatula and given the kitten, the daughter adopted death-inducing medication.

They Even Thought They Could Hide

Court records also show that the parents threatened the children to stop them from going to the police. They allegedly told their kids that social services would take them away and rape them if they said anything to the police.
Their son also said that the parents moved between states to avoid child services and even hid him and his siblings in campsites to avoid questioning.
The woman’s husband, Timothy Crouch, is also facing charges for moving the family to different places to hinder the investigation. He is being charged with “obstructing investigation of child abuse or neglect.”
