Game Of Thrones Grabs The Most Nominations For 71st Primetime Emmy Award

With a motive to honor the best Television programs in the US, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences bestowed the idea of Primetime Emmy Award and this year’s Primetime Emmy Award is around the corner. This will be the 71st edition of Primetime Emmy Award that will be held on September 22, 2019, at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California while Fox will broadcast the ceremony.

D’Arcy Carden and Ken Jeong announced the nominations for this year’s Primetime Emmy in a live webcast on July 16. Game Of Thrones, the critically acclaimed and much popular series saw its final season this year and garnered the most number of nominations for 71st Primetime Emmy.

Academy of Television Arts & Sciences declared the season and programs running from June 1, 2018, until May 31, 2019, to be eligible for nominations. With its name on the list of Outstanding Drama Series, Game Of Thrones lead the way with 32 nominations, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel following behind with 20 nominations in across all categories. The series based on nuclear disaster, Chernobyl racked 19 nominations, Saturday Night Live accumulated 18 nominations, Barry showed up with 17 nominations, Fosse/Verdon amassed 17 nominations and When They See Us gathered 16 nominations.
