House of Representatives has voted in favor of Resolution to initiate an impeachment process against President Donald Trump in the US by 332 votes in favor and 95 against the same
One Tweet of Trump has already shaken his presidential position. He made a racist comment in which he told four Democratic Congresswomen to go back to their countries of origin.
Then in response, Rep. Al Green offered to pass a resolution to impeach the Donald Trump.
On Tuesday Green introduced the Resolution in the house of representatives and said :
“Donald Trump has, by his statements, brought the high office of the President of the US in contempt, ridicule, disgrace, and disrepute; has sown discord among the people of the United States; has demonstrated that he is unfit to be President; and has betrayed his trust as President of the United States to the manifest injury of the people of the United States; and has committed a high misdemeanor in office.”
On Tuesday a resolution was tabled to decide whether to pass an impeachment resolution against the Donald Trump or not.
This is the third time when Green has introduced an impeachment resolution against Donald Trump. But the previous two resolutions were rejected by a wide majority.
This time Green has achieved success at the first stage, i.e. resolution to initiate an impeachment process against Donald Trump has been voted yes by majority 332 – 95 vote.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi opposed the impeachment as she is worried about a potential backlash in next year’s congressional and presidential elections.
“We have six committees that are working on following the facts in terms of any abuse of power obstruction of justice and the rest that they president may have engaged in,” she said.
Now it is reported that Trump seized the Impeachment process to continue rally of Green old party to which he belongs.
