Finally, Ed Sheeran has confessed that Ed Sheeran and his long-time girlfriend Cherry Seaborn are married in front of the small gathering of their friends and family.
He has also confirmed that he wrote the song “Remember the Name,” while remembering and referring the same to his wife Cherry and he added that he knew then that they would get married by the point the song will come.
He said the following regarding the song :
“It was actually before Cherry, and I got married, and I knew that we’d be married by the point that the song came out,” Sheeran said. “Someone’s gonna hear that and be like, ‘Oh, they’re married!’ I didn’t know how that would be construed, but obviously, it’s already come out.”
Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn met at primary school in eastern England, and then they became friends as the time passed their friendship became stronger.
It is reported that they started to date each other from the time when Sheeran invited Cherry to Taylor Swift’s Fourth of July party in 2015.
Lastly, in 2018, they pleased everyone with the announcement of their engagement.
