After a very long hiatus, the much-loved cartoon series, Rick and Morty will finally return with season 4.
Rick and Morty are finally back
It could be the longest hiatus in history for one of the most acclaimed cartoon series. It’s been two years since season 3 of the Emmy award-winning series ended. But fans hadn’t thought back then that they had to wait for two excruciatingly long years to watch season 4 of their favorite cartoon show.
Release Date
A few days back, the creators of the series Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon finally announced that season 4 is coming soon. The new season will be released in November this year. Talking with Entertainment Weekly, Harmon told that the long gap between seasons 3 and 4 will be the longest.
He further reassured fans that this would be the last time for such a long wait. “I don’t know how fast we can do it, but I know it will never be this long again… I feel like a naughty boy when I’m late”, he said.
The long delay was due to an ongoing contract negotiation between the co-creators and Adult Swim. Roiland and Harmon have secured themselves a deal of 70 new episodes for the comedy animation. Out of these, the first 10 episodes will be showcased in season 4. It seems fans will have a lot more seasons coming up.
The new looks
The first video clip from season 4 been released. In the short clip, we can see Morty and his dad Jerry are threatening Glootie who’s an alien app developer intern to deactivate an app he’s helped launch. Looks like, the new season will have Marty and Jerry struggling to take down the app. Rick is not seen in the clip.

He looks relaxed in the beautiful landscape with the sea and the sun setting in the back. The other image has a frightened Rick surrounded by crocodiles like creatures. Morty is not present in the pictures.
Season 4 will have new vocal appearances from Taiki Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok writer-director) as Glootie and Paul Giamatti (Billions). Sam Niel (Jurrasic Park) and Kathleen Turner (Romancing with Stone) will also make guest appearances.
