Finally, Marvel has confirmed all the movies of Phase 4 in San Diego Comic-Con International and the Chinese superhero is among one of them. Shang-Chi is a Kung Fu master who belongs to China.
It will be interesting to see him on the silver screen as the studio has confirmed that he will be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Also, it seems like after Phase 3; Marvel Studios is planning to expand its universe by integrating various new characters to it.
For the comics, Shang-Chi was a character which was created by Steve Englehart and was designed by artist, Jim Starlin. He debuted in Special Marvel Edition #15 in 1973. After this, he was referred to as ‘Master of Kung Fu.’
The superhero character is well equipped with several unarmed and weaponry based wushu styles. If you are thinking that knowing Kung Fu is not enough to defeat a superhuman opponent, then we are worried that you are wrong. Shang-Chi has defeated numerous superhuman opponents by using his skills.
Though he is non-superhuman, he can accomplish extraordinary things. He can dodge bullets, shot from machine guns as well as snipers. Apart from this, he can use his braces to deflect gunshots. Also, he can surpass the physical limitations of athletes. Later in the comics, the character learns to conjure his duplicates and then joins the Avengers.
The upcoming movie is named as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which will be the part of Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the film, Chinese-Canadian Actor, Simu Liu will be in the lead. The movie is projected to be released on February 12, 2021.
