MTV Video Music Awards(VMA) for 2019 is only a month away, and for that, nominations have finally been announced. This award show represents as well as celebrates the best visuals and music in the music industry. And this time it seems like, that a particular group is dominating and representing themselves to the fullest.
This time many artists from Latin America are nominated for their work to get the awards in their respective categories. Some big names were Rosalia, J Balvin, Cardi B, Camila Cabello, and CNCO. So from this trend, we can safely say that Latin music is transcending its boundaries and liked by huge chunks across the globe. Though people don’t understand their language, their stunning visuals and music have found a place in their heart.
Other prominent artists who are nominated for their work are Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. The duo is leading the nominations with ten nods each in various categories such as video of the year, the song of the year and best pop.
Though these artists are getting the representation amply. An artist from Latin America is also making a fair representation of themselves. Like, Camila Cabello, J Balvin and Cardi B found themselves in four nominations each. Rosalia is just behind them with three nominations.
There are a total of 14 genders neutral VMA categories and the voting for it has started. The last date for voting your favorite artist is August 15. The show will be broadcasted on August 26.
