Gypsy Rose whose life, viewers witnessed through Joey King in the Hulu series ‘The Act’ is not really happy with the storyline. This comes when Joey is nominated for Emmy Award, and Gypsy congratulated her for the same with the saying that this will not lead to a meet between them.
Gypsy Congratulated Joey But She Is Not Happy With Storyline
Gypsy Rose family spokesperson, Fancy Macelli reported the same to TMZ. He was quoted as “Gypsy sincerely congratulates Joey for nailing the role and mastering her look, voice and mannerisms.” Moreover, this doesn’t mean that Gypsy also liked the way her story was depicted through the popular series. The representative told that Gypsy’s meeting with the Emmy nominated actress would allot a validation to the inaccurate storyline of ‘The Act.’ This is something the girl who was forced to pretend like disable for years never wants.
The Inaccuracy In The Storyline
Now, what are the things that didn’t go along with Gypsy’s expectations? She claimed that the sex scenes repetitions in ‘The Act’ “make her seem like a nymphomaniac.” As per her view, the scenes were dramatized. Reportedly she said, this not the true depictions of her real-life episodes.
On the other hand, her mother’s attempt to holding her hostage by tying her up in the bed is something that happened only once with her when she tried to escape. But the series has shown Dee Dee (Gypsy’s Mother) doing this repeatedly with her daughter.
Gypsy, who is serving her 10-year jail sentences, thinks that “she has nothing to gain by meeting with Joey.” Her then-boyfriend, Nick Godejohn, who wanted to help her to escape from her mother’s hostage is also behind the war for the alleged murder of Dee in 2015. He was convicted with a life sentence for the second-degree murder.
