Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew to remarry without Queen’s approval

Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew have sparked rumors of reunion recently. But this time they would be able to bypass a major rule when it comes to royal weddings. Yes, you heard that, right!

Sarah and Prince Andrew can remarry without Queen’s permission. That is big news! Actually, Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew married way back in 1986. At that time, Andrew was fourth in line for the throne.

Later they got divorced in 1996. Since then both have been living together in Royal Lodge. It has been 20 years after their split and now it is rumored that they can soon remarry each other.

That’s a fairy tale indeed. The pair, who share daughter Eugenie and Beatrice will unite because of their lovely daughters. In any case, this is very good news for all of us. But this time there is a twist. The couple does not need Queen’s permission, which is a must in case of a royal wedding.

But why Sarah and Andrew would not need the Queen’s approval to remarry?

As per the Royal Marriage Act 1772, anyone in the first six in line to the throne must get the approval from the monarch. This time Andrew is not a part of first six in line for the throne. The newborn Archie kicked Andrew out of this list, setting him free to marry anyone that too without Queen’s approval.

Though the couple has not yet disclosed anything about their second marriage plans but this is definitely something on cards. Early this month Sarah defended Andrew in public interaction. After that even ITV’s royal editor Chris Ship seemed to confirm this royal rekindled relationship. His tweet said that soon the royal couple would be back together after 20 years of divorce.

Hopefully, the couple would announce their marriage details soon. That’s really sweet. Love is in the air!
