Will Jason Bateman and Laura Linney to return for Ozark Season 3

Netflix crime-drama Ozark is all set to return to our screens with a third season sometime next year, making it prudent to have a recap of everything we know about so far.

Announced back in October via Twitter by Jason Bateman, who dons the mantle of the series protagonist and also executive producer, the upcoming season’s existence was confirmed as a 10-episode run too much fanfare, unsurprising given the acclaim it has received over the previous two seasons.

Bateman posted a cryptic tweet that hinted at a more brooding tone for the highly-anticipated third outing, saying, ‘I’m happy for me, but concerned for Marty – it’s official, Ozark Season Three on its way.’

Of course, fans of the series will remember that Season Two portrayed the Byrde family becoming further ingratiated into the world of crime and narcotics, with the finale acting as a full-blown logistical setup for what might follow in subsequent installments.

Bateman, along with Laura Linney who plays Wendy, has been confirmed to return, and Season Three will also debut new members of the star-studded ensemble, including Jessica Frances Dukes, Madison Thompson, and Tom Pelphrey.

Bateman also participated in the creative process during earlier seasons, having directed multiple episodes during its run, and is expected to help even more on-screen adventures this time around.

Concerning the release date, however, exists no solid evidence.

The first two seasons of the series premiered in the months of summer, around July and August, and the same can be expected to happen come 2020, as principal photography continues I full-swing and is estimated to conclude around Autumn later this year.

Seasons One and Two of Ozark can now be streamed on Netflix.
