The King of Random creator, Grant Thompson is no more, Dies at 38, Cause of Death

The popular content creator, Grant Thompson, passed away on 29th of July 2019 in Utah while in a paragliding accident. He was 38 years old when he died. His family confirmed Grant Thompson’s untimely death on his social media.

Grant’s family gave tribute to him by posting a video and captioned that, “It is with great sadness to inform everyone that Grant Thompson passed away last night. Grant had great love and appreciation for his fans.” His family continued writing that, “We invite you to share your thoughts for Grant and the channel in the comments.” His family continued that, “Please do a random act of love or kindness today in honor of The King of Random.” They further added by saying, “Grant’s legacy will live on in the channel and the global community he created.” Grant’s family did not provide any further details about his death.

Grant Thompson was born on 21st of November, 1980. Grant was a Canadian citizen who was famous for his experiments, and life hack videos. He had his own YouTube channel named The King of Random. Grant Thompson joined the YouTube community way back in January 2010. His YouTube channel, The King of Random, has more than 11 million subscribers. Grant’s most popular video was, “How to Make LEGO Gummy Candy!” The video had over 26 million views. His wife and his four children survive Grant Thompson.

On 29th of July 2019, Grant’s family filed a missing complaint when he did not return from a parasailing trip — as per reports by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Utah, said that the Sheriff office got a call regarding an overdue paraglider. The caller said that Grant reportedly went off the radar near Sand Hollow State Park. Reportedly, the paraglider should have landed within an hour. When they were not found the paragliding office called the paraglider, but his phone was unreachable. After hours of search Grant Thompson’s mortal remains were discovered on 30th of July 2019 in St. George, Utah.

According to TMZ, Mark Thompson, who is the brother of Grant Thompson, said that the YouTuber had recently got interested in learning about paragliding and other airborne activities.
Now, there is no official confirmation regarding the matter from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Grant Thompson’s fans are devastated by his sudden death. May his soul rest in peace.
