From intense suspense chills to plot-changing serial-kills, the American based Netflix Original Series, Mindhunter, got it all covered. Based on the book with the same name (written by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker), the web television series created by Joe Penhall has left the viewer wanting for more.
Season 1, which released on October 2017, explored dimensions of criminal psychology and crime investigation. The story revolves around two FBI agents, Jonathan Groff (played by Holden Ford) and Holt McCallany (played by Bill Tench).
The teaser of Season 2 (which was broadcast on July 30, 2109) has given a sneak-peak for more mystery, mayhem, and mind blogging twists and turns coming up.
As seen in the teaser, there’s much more intentional uneasiness and anticipation in Season 2. Of course, the Season will have the old crew- Anna Torv, Dr. Wendy Carr and Dennis Rader but to amplify the intensity, a new addition to the cast includes Charles Manson.
The expected eight episodes of the forthcoming season will address the issue of Atlanta child murders. A real-life tragedy of the nineties, the Atlanta Child Murders were a series of 28 killings of African-American children, teenagers, and adults. John Douglas (the author of the book on which the series is based) was closely involved in profiling the killer and was officially reprimanded over his conduct during the case.
Apart from the storyline, the music and the background scores are also envisaged to rise a notch higher. As witnessed in the trailer, there’s a rhythm of Afro-beats and spine-chilling drops in the background music.
With the release of the Season 2 announced on August 16, 2019, there’s a lot of hair-raising capture cells, sinister conspiracies, and deceptive behavioral theories coming our way!
