Amazon’s Jack Ryan Season 2 Teaser Released

After months on months of waiting, Amazon Prime Video finally dropped the official teaser for Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Season 2.

The political thriller took the world by storm but Amazon went one step further. The streaming giant renewed the show on April 24th, months in advance of Jack Ryan’s premiere on August 31st, 2018. The 8 episode season was highly acclaimed, managing the feat of a whopping 74% on Rotten Tomatoes. The show went on to nab an Emmy nomination as well. Having anticipated this huge success, Amazon wasted no time in a renewal.

Jack Ryan Season 2 Teaser Release

Amazon Prime Video released the first teaser for Season 2 on July 27th.

The action packed series stars John Krasinski as the lead, starkly different from his role as Jim in The Office. The adaptation of Tom Clancy’s books follows Jack, a CIA Analyst who’s forced into on field action. The show features co-stars Wendell Pierce, Abbie Cornish and John Hoogenakker.

The teaser shows a lot of action packed sequences, hinting at many more to come. Now that Jack Ryan was out of the comfort of his desk job, the role would demand a significant surge in combat sequences. Krasinski engages in hand-to-hand combat, IEDs and roof jumps, leaving no stone unturned.

Season 2 Cast and Plot

Season 2 is yet to have an official release date with the teaser only stating it was ‘Coming Soon’. However, with shoot spanning 4 continents (primarily South America), production could take long.

The highly anticipated season is going all out on casting. Michael Kelly, Noomi Rapace, Jovan Adepo, Jordi Molla Cristina Umaña, Tom Wlaschiha and Francisco Denis are some of the new star-studded cast.

The season will follow the storyline of Tom Clancy’s ‘Clear and Present Danger’. Amazon Prime reveals: “After tracking a potentially suspicious shipment of illegal arms in the Venezuelan jungle, CIA Officer Jack Ryan heads down to South America to investigate.”
