Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague breaks silence on Sherif Lanre: “No Beef”

Molly-Mae breaks silence on Sherif Lanre’s forced exit when he accidentally kicked her in the groin during a play fight.

Sherif’s mysterious exit on just day nine of The Love Island¬†in mid-June raised eyebrows all around. He was just woken up next morning and asked to leave, no explanations- at least, that’s what the viewers saw.

Molly on the incident

After Molly Mae and Tommy Fury exited the Villa as runners-up, Molly finally revealed the reason behind Sherif’s exit.

When asked if she had any beef with Sherif due to this incident, she said that were was “no beef”. Not having her phone back yet, she hadn’t spoken to Sherif since but she clarified that she “loved the boy to pieces”.

Sherif Apologizes Deeply

Sherif also opened up about the incident, emphasizing that it was a minor accident during a play fight with no harm done. After kicking her in the groin, he turned to Tommy and said, “That was a c*** punt.”¬†He now realizes that it was crude and unacceptable, claiming that he had never used that phrase before.

After the incident, Molly had doubled up reflexively and Sherif immediately asked her if she was alright. She stood up and seemed fine and they apparently had a laugh about it afterwards.

The 20-year old apologized sincerely saying that he would “never intentionally hurt a woman”. He fully accepts his misstep and vows to learn from it.

He shuts down rumors that the producers (ITV) had forcefully removed him from the show. Sherif was already on thin ice having been issued warnings for his behavior earlier. He fully accepted that he had broken the villa rules and the decision of having him leave was mutual. The producers said that they would never reveal details of such a breach in code of conduct and they kept their word.
