tYouTube power couple Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau got married last weekend in a huge blast. But the jury’s still out with the fans on if the wedding and relationship is really legitimate or just a market strategy. And here’s why.
The Couple’s Relationship Reel
The couple was married in Las Vegas after a two-month courtship. The wedding reportedly cost 500,000 dollars and even included an extravagant sword from Game of Thrones and a dramatic fight between some guests in the middle of the ceremony.
What Fans Are Saying
The wedding was certainly crazy and eventful. And could it be a plot to gain more followers and views? After all, such market strategies are known to have worked. And the comments the 21-year-old Youtuber made on her reality show Tana Turns 21 which airs on MTV, haven’t helped at all.
What She Said On The Show
Tana Mongeau made it sound like her wedding to 22-year-old Jake was just a publicity stunt. “Don’t get me wrong I think a wedding is a very serious thing but at the same time I don’t think Jake and I take things very seriously,” she said on the show. “I have a lot of love for him but it’s still something fun and light-hearted that we’re obviously doing for fun and for content.”
Paul’s own older brother, Logan Paul has also questioned the marriage. He himself staged a fake wedding of a kind on 2017 with fellow Youtube celebrity Erika Costello.
Heartfelt Tweets From Mongeau
The Youtube took to twitter to defend her marriage after fans spent a couple of hours trolling her comments on the MTV show. She explained that her words were taken out of context and shortened for the TV show.
She also addressed her feelings towards her husband Paul Logan. “I know that things have moved so fast, are unconventional, and confusing but i love jake. I truly do, in the weirdest f—king way,” her tweet read.
