The Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan, is all set to bring Netflix’s Spanish thriller Money Heist to the big screen.
According to a report in koi-Moi, his production house, Red Chillis entertainment has begged the rights of the show which currently concluded its third season. However, SRK has plans to make it into a film instead of a web- series. A source told Mumbai Mirror, “Shah Rukh Khan was introduced to money heist by one of his partners.” For now, all we know is that he is the producer. No news on him acting in the movie is perceived. The source also informed, adding the cast will be decided based on the script.

Alex Pina created the Spanish television series money heist. It revolves around a criminal mastermind named “the professor” who has a plan to print billions of euros in the royal mint of Spain. To help him, he recruits eight people with specific abilities who have nothing to lose. In an abandoned house, he trains them for five months to steal 2.4 billion euros from a bank. The group of thieves takes hostages to aid in their negotiations with the authorities, who strategize to come up with a way to capture the professor. Eventually, the robbers prepare for a showdown with the police.
The adaptation of Money Heist is currently in the scripting stage, and Shahrukh’s production house is working on it. His last production Badla was also a remake of Spanish film named The Invisible Guest. Shahrukh’s previous film, Zero, didn’t perform well on the box office, and there has been a lot of speculation on what his next project would be. So he is cautious about what he is picking up next and doesn’t want to disappoint his fans. Let’s just see how the Bollywood version of Money Heist goes!
