Gal Gadot, the Wonder Woman, to portray Hedy Lamarr in coming Showtime limited series

Gal Gadot, the Wonder Woman star will be playing the role of Hedy Lamarr in the series about the story of Lamarr’s life. The movie will include everything from feminism to her life and legacy.

Hedy Lamarr aka Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesler was a Jewish Austrian Born American film actress and inventor. She was born in Vienna, Austria-Hungary in 1914. And died in 2000 in Casselberry, Florida, U.S.

Inventions and Awards

Hedy Lamarr is famous for her invention, which started at the time of World War II. It was a technology with a frequency hopping system by synchronizing a miniaturized player-piano mechanism with radio signals.

She had been a part of various films and television too and won awards like Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Pioneer Award.

Gal Gadot to play Hedy Lamarr in her documentary

Showtime announced this Friday that Gal Gadot would be playing the role of Hedy Lamarr in the upcoming documentary ‘Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story.’ The makers thought that Gal Gadot would be best for the part of Hedy Lamarr.

Showtime president’s words

The Showtime entertainment president Jana Winograd said, “The life of Hedy Lamarr was a truly fascinating one. She stood at the forefront of many issues that challenge women and our society today. In Gal Gadot, we have found the transcendent actress to portray the deeply complex Lamarr. And with the award-winning talents of Sarah Treem and Warren Littlefield, this is going to be a special series.”

Gal Gadot is an Israeli actress and model born in Petag Tikva, Israel in 1985. She started her career at the age of 18 when she crowned Miss Israel in 2004. She served Israel Defense Forces for two years as a Combat instructor.

Gadot’s first international film was Fast & Furious (2009). She also played Wonder Women in DC Extended Universe.
