A day after the massacre in El Paso, Texas, where 20 people killed and 20 others were left wounded another incident took place in Dayton, Ohio. On Sunday’s early morning a shooter opened fire that killed nine and injured 27 others.
The incident occurred in the city’s Oregon district which is well known for the active war scene after 1 AM. The law officials responded quickly and killed the shooter on the crime scene only.
Suspect’s Identity

The suspect killed is identified as 24-year-old Connor Betts, of Bellbrook, Ohio, as law officials stated to CBS News. Sources reported that police were in search of the suspect’s house.
Dayton Community Paid The Honor
To honor those nine victims that were killed in the Ohio mass shooting the Dayton community gathered after 8 PM on Sunday. The singing of “Amazing Grace” and the release of nine white doves was also included in the vigil to pay honor to the deceased. Mayor of Dayton and the Ohio governor also attended the event.

Donald Trump Thanked Law Officials
The US President Donald Trump talked about the rampage at 4:35 p.m. Sunday after stepping off Marine One in Morristown, New Jersey. He talked to the reporters who were there at the airfield when first lady Melania Trump was standing by his side.
His statements were mostly about acknowledging law officials’ efforts due to which the loss reduced to a great extent. Trump stated, “I just want to thank the law enforcement in both places. The job they’ve done is incredible.” He further added that “I also want to congratulate them nobody could have done what they have done. As bad as it was, it also could’ve been so much worse.”

While wondering aloud, he said, “Think of the damage he did in such a short period of time in less than a minute?”
Chief Richard Biehl of Dayton Ohio Police Department also praised the law officials at the press conference he attended at 4 p.m. on Sunday. He reported that the suspect was advanced by the police officers just after 20 seconds of his first shot from the gun. Also, “the threat was neutralized within 30 seconds of suspect firing first shots.”
