Heidi Klum has married Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz at the Italian island of Capri.
The couple had legally tied the knot in February earlier this year already, though their tropical getaway last weekend was the actual wedding ceremony that had been overdue.
Klum first met Kaulitz on the sets of Germany’s Next Top Model back in March of 2018.
The two then dated for nine months, before Kaulitz proposed to Klum on Christmas Eve of that very year, along with the help of her kids – daughters Leni and Lou, and sons Henry and Johan.
And, speaking to Entertainment Tonight, a source close to the couple spilled the details on the proposal, saying, ‘They went to Mexico before their engagement, around Thanksgiving, and that’s when he started talking to the kids about his plans in secret and it was so hard for them to not tell anyone. They were so excited and happy for their mum. On Christmas Eve morning Tom went to the kids and asked for Heidi’s hand in marriage and they said yes. So Tom and the kids together worked on making a breakfast tray for Heidi that had coffee, flowers, and a ring box.’
‘It was important for Tom to have the kids included in the whole thing, so they all brought the tray up to Heidi’s room and surprised her with breakfast in bed and then he proposed,’ the source concluded.
The wedding took place on the luxury yacht Christina O, and the newlyweds were later spotted together at the La Fontelina restaurant, packing on the PDA.
This is the 46-year-old German supermodel’s third marriage and comes after her divorce from Seal, whom she had been wed to for almost a decade and had three of her four children with.
