First Things First: When Do We Get To See It?

Mindhunter Season 2 was officially confirmed by Netflix on November 2017. “Next year,” said director and executive producer David Fincher about the new season, leading many fans to hope for an end of 2018 release just like Season 1. But the wait turned out to be longer. This July, Netflix finally announced that Season 2 of Mindhinter would drop on 16th  August 2019. That’s 10 days to go, so gear up!

The Cast: Who Stars in This Heart-Racing Show?

Season 2 will see Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany returning to their roles as murder investigators Holden Ford and Bill Tench. Damon Herriman, meanwhile, will be playing Charles Manson. IMDb also suggests that we’ll be seeing Nancy Tench as Stacey Roca, Kay Mason as Lauren Glazier and Sam Strike for one or more episodes as Monte Rissell.

Anna Torv as Wendy Carr, Cameron Britton (serial killer Ed Kemper) and Joe Tuttle as the new FBI agent in the team, Gregg Smith are also set to return.

The Plot Of Mindhunter 2

The trailer Netflix has released suggests that the season will deal with two major storylines- the journey of Charles Manson and the Atlanta child murders that occurred between 1979 and 1981. In addition, it takes on the Son of Sam killer and the prodigal return of the Cameron Britton killer Ed Kemper.

And according to the TV guide, all of that is wrapped up in just 9 episodes. It’s worth noting here that Season 1 had 10 episodes; one more than Season 2 will have.

The Atlanta murders were a series of 28 killings of African-American children, teenagers, and adults. Fincher has also said that music of the show will “evolve” to be connected more to the topic. “More African-American music which will be nice,” he said.
