American Crime Story is again coming up with a new series. This time, the show will tell about the sex scandal of the US president Bill Clinton.
Lewinsky is producing the series…
The FX show will focus on the affair that Clinton had with White House intern Monica Lewinsky and the impeachment proceedings which followed in 1999. And the surprising thing is Lewinsky, is included in the team and will be producing the show.
Who are in the cast?

Beanie Feldstein from Booksmart has been roped in to play the role of Lewinsky in the drama. Sarah Paulson will be playing Linda Tripp. She is the civil servant who secretly recorded the then 22-year-old intern’s private phone calls about her affair with the president who was 24 years her senior. Paula Jones who accused Clinton of unwanted sexual advances will be played by Annaleigh Ashford.

Release Date…
Nothing has been announced about the roles of Bill and Hillary Clinton. The show is set to release on 27 September 2020, on FX. The release date has drawn attention to the show because it’s just before next year’s Presidential elections. FX Networks CEO, John Landgraf said that it’s hysterical to think that the show will decide the next president.
Lewinsky told to Vanity Fair that she was apprehensive of joining the show. But after meeting and talking to producer Ryan Murphy, she decided to do it. She said that people had been co-opting and telling her part of the story for decades. And with this show, she’ll be able to fully reclaim her narrative.
The series named Impeachment: American Crime Story is based on 1999 book by Jefferey Toobin- A Vast Conspiracy; The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President. The many times Emmy awarded show is known for its gripping storytelling and well-researched content.
