The world is going through difficult times due to the global outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, and this pandemic has caused Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone to hold off her life’s big moment—a wedding with her beloved partner, Dave McCary. The 31-year-old actress was set to tie the knot with a 34-year-old comedian and director Dave McCary this past weekend in an unnamed location inside Los Angeles.
The La La Land actress was first romantically linked with Dave in October 2017. The reports claimed that the deuce started dating each other when she hosted an American live sketch comedy show, Saturday Live Night in 2016. Dave McCary, at that time, worked as a segment director and staff writer on Saturday Live Night.
The couple announced that they were planning to spend the rest of their life together through their engagement in December 2019. After their engagement, Dave took Instagram and posted a picture with Emma, in which she is seen showing her engagement ring. They were spotted at various places and outskirts of Los Angeles together, holding their hands. They were even photographed at Met Gala 2019’s After Party.
Emma confirmed that they are postponing their wedding, but she hasn’t revealed the exact date for the next possible wedding. This coronavirus has caused damage to human life as well as the film industry. Various movies have pushed their theatrical release date, and others on production have halted their filming.
Emma Stone recently appeared in Zombieland: Double Tap, a zombie comedy directed by Ruben Fleischer along with Woody Harrelson, Jessie Heisenberg, and Abigail Stallone. The next outing for 2017’s highest-paid actress is Cruella, a crime comedy directed by Craig Gillespie, which is based on the 1956 The Hundred and One Dalmatians novel by Dodie Smith.
