When Will Fast and Furious 9 aka F9 hit the theatres?
F9 was scheduled to release on May 22, 2020, in the United States. However, theatres are shut down due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Therefore the release date is pushed back. Universal Studios made this decision as the overall budget for F9 is over $200 million, and it would not be a profiting case as so many theatres are closed amidst the pandemic.
On March 12, 2020, Universal studios wrote a message on the film’s official Facebook page, which goes as follows:
“To our family of Fast fans everywhere, we feel all the love and the anticipation you have for the next chapter in our saga. That’s why it’s especially tough to let you know that we have to move the release date of the film.
It’s become clear that it won’t be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May. While we know there is disappointment in having to wait a little while longer, this move is made with the safety of everyone as our foremost consideration. We’ll see you next spring.”
In addition to that, Vin Diesel also made an announcement on his social media concerning the same. Moreover, the new release date is April 2, 2021, as of now.

The biggest surprise revealed in the trailer is that Han (Sung Kang) will be back from the dead. It grabbed everyone’s attention and soon #JusticeForHan started trending. Fans are expecting a lot from the action scenes as the trailer showcases some marvelous hand-to-hand combat sequences with the leading ladies. Moreover, what’s more, interesting than Cena’s first look? Fans are excited about Cena’s character.

Han was introduced in The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, played by Sung Kang. Han died in an explosion of his car, but he turned out to be so popular that he came back in the following movies. However, in the post-credit scene of F6, it seemed that the car accident was intentionally arranged by Jason. There on, there was no mention about Han, whether he was dead or no.
Fortunately for all his fans, Han is back! The new trailer says so. It will be really interesting to see what more will unfold with this revelation.
