Popular actress and model, famous for playing Mera in Dc’s Aquaman, might get jailed after reports claiming that she had tampered and falsified evidence for domestic violence against her former husband, Johnny Depp.
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp started seeing each other since 2010 and then married at their home in Los Angeles on February 3, 2015. Their marriage didn’t last long, and Heard filed for divorce just a year after their marriage. She acquired a temporary restraining order against Johnny Depp and accused him of physically abusing her throughout their togetherness. Depp, in response, denied the allegations and claimed that Heard is making up for securing financial firmness.
But later, various reports surfaced that the actress had faked her injuries and manipulated the evidence to stay away from Depp. Depp later published an audiotape, which proved that Heard was an actual abuser. Heard’s initial comment resulted in Depp losing his job in Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and he sued Heard for defamation for US$50 million. The abuse controversy has also resulted in Depp’s uncertain future in the Warner Bros. Fantastic Beast franchise.
Amber previously mentioned that she had received bruises and injuries all around her body as a result of abuse received from Depp. But sometime later, her stylist Samantha McMillen reported that she didn’t see any visible marks of bruises or injuries on that day when Heard accused Depp of abusing her. If the court finds Heard guilty for faking evidence or tampering it, she will receive at least three years of prison sentence according to the California Penal Code Section 141 PC.
