The last season had many situations that were left hanging, like Andrew DeLuca trying to save the girl named Suzzane ( who he suspected to be a human trafficking victim ).

It breaks our hearts. That story was coming around in what would have been the next episode. Hopefully we can complete her story in season 17! https://t.co/eGwaBlDxNq

Justin Chambers who portrayed Alex Karev (fellow physician since start) said a final goodbye to the series, in the sixteenth season so we might not see him in season 17

Without any doubt, Giacomo Gianniotti would be back as Andrew DeLuca and so will Martin Henderson as Nathan Riggs
