The American comedy-drama series Russian Doll had it was the first season last year. The critically acclaimed series will be back for a second season soon.
Russian doll came out on February 1, 2019, through the digital web streaming service Netflix. The series was directed by a group of three including Jamie, Babbit, Natasha Lyonne, and Leslye Headland belong to the comedy-mystery genre.
We see the series through the eyes of Nadia Vulvoko, a game developer who gets embroiled in a puzzling problem. She falls to her death and surprisingly gets back to her life, what’s more, weird is that this happens on continuously as in a never-ending cycle. The rest of the plot is her quest to find the reason behind her problem.
RECEPTION AND RENEWAL
Following the wonderful reception the series got, Netflix decided to renew the series. And, in June 2019, they announced that the series would have a second season. They haven’t put out any specific release date. But there were hints about it be around the end of 2020. But the recent coronavirus pandemic which has gripped the world has delayed their schedule. So, we may get the series only by 2021 at the latest. So, I guess we need to wait a bit more for the rest of the mysteries about Nadia to unravel.
