The third installment of the Legally Blonde series is set to hit the theater this year. Legally Blonde and Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde were among the most popular movies of the 2000s. The first part of the series, Legally Blonde released in 2001 and made it big to the box office. It did a business of over $141 million, and people all over the world fell in love with Reese Witherspoon.
Reese has been the leader of the series, in the role of Elle Woods. This led to the making and release of the second movie, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde. Legally Blonde movies are considered to be one of the most entertaining comedies of the industry. It is to note that the entertainment is not over quite yet! Fifteen years after the release of the sequel, Legally Blonde three will release this year!
Legally Blonde 3 Release Date
The third installment of the film is set to hit the theaters this year. Legally Blonde 3 will be releasing on 8th May 2020. The third installment will be released after 15 years of the second movie’s release. Work had started on the movie in 2018, and Witherspoon confirmed it with an Instagram post in June 2018. To announce the film, she posted a short video in a hot pink bikini. She could be seen sunbathing on the pool float with the caption, “It’s true… #LegallyBlonde3.”

According to the sources, Reese Witherspoon, without a doubt, would be coming back as Elle Woods. Margot, which was played by Jessica Cauffiel, would also be returning to the third movie. Elle’s other sorority sister, Serena McGuire, played by Alanna Ubach, would once again share the screen with others. Reese, in an interview in June 2019, said that while a few characters would be returning to the movie, there may be a few additions as well. There are also reports that Linda Cardellini would be part of the film as well. Linda played the role of the killer in the first movie, Chutney Windham.
Legally Blonde 3 Expected Plot
In the first movie, the story revolved around Elle, running to Harvard Law School. In the second movie, Elle moved to Washington, DC, from Boston. She did so to lobby for a bill that would ban animal testing for cosmetics. At the end of Legally Blonde 2, Elle expressed her wish to live in the White House to her new husband, Emmett.
However, in the two movies, the forgotten spin-off of the movies was moved to the DVD. The Disney Channel suggested that Elle had finally reached Washington DC, and she became a proclaimed lobbyist there. The third movie is likely to show Elle’s journey in Washington DC. It is expected to revolve around her progress from being a lobbyist to making it bog to the White House.
