Hanna Season 2: Plot, Release Date, Trailer and more. Everything you should know!

Hanna, the action, drama web-series based on the film of the same name came out last year, and we can’t wait for the second season to come out. The show initially premiered in February last year and garnered a massive fan base. So, what does the future hold for the show? Let’s find out:

Hanna Season 2 Plot

The story follows a young 16-year old girl Hanna who is raised in seclusion to become an assassin. She is one of the kids who was genetically modified to become a super-soldier. The guy she lives with, Erik, was actually an employee at the CIA run facility who fell in love with Hanna’s mom and tries to help them escape. Her mom, unfortunately, dies in the attempt.

The facility was supposed to have closed down after this incident. However, Hannah finds out that this never happened. She now attempts to expose the secrets, shut it down, and survive it all.

The first season ended with Hannah and Erik breaking into the facility to help all the modified babies escape. They are able to only convince one of them (Clara) to run away with them, though.
Erik dies at the end due to his previous injuries. The last scene showed Clara and Hanna making their way back into the forest, where Hanna has been living all these years.

The upcoming season will likely show her journey without Erik. She will, of course, have a new companion now, but Erik was basically her father, so probably some ‘avenging his death’ might happen.
All in all, it will be one hell of a season, and we are just as excited about it as you!

Hanna Season 2 Release Date

No matter how excited we are about the show, the wait will belong. The first season came out in February 2019, but a release date for season 2 hasn’t been announced yet. And given that even a trailer hasn’t come out yet, it is a safe bet that the second season is far, far away.

With the COVID-19 outbreak, it is highly unlikely the show will come out anytime soon. We are looking at a late-2020 to 2021 release date, in the least.

Till then, if you want to catch up on the first season or the movie, you can do so on Amazon Prime Video.

Stay safe, guys! And, stay tuned for more latest updates.
