The Ghost of Tsushima is an upcoming third-person action-adventure game set in medieval japan. The game is developed by Sucker punch productions Exclusively for PS4 and likely PS5.
It will feature an open world without any waypoint and little to no guidance.
Nate Fox was the director along with he had Shigeru Umebayashi as the composer for the game. The gameplay demo was revealed in E3 2018.
Release date of Ghost of Tsushima
The game is available for Pre-order from March 5, 2020. It will ship in two editions, one normal and another Collector edition, which will include a bundle of interesting artwork and articles.
The game is set to release on June 26, 2020. But the release may be delayed in certain countries and markets due to the lockdown caused by the Pandemic.
The storyline of Ghost of Tsushima
The story revolves around the Mongol invasion of Japan in the 1270s, it follows the trails of Jin Sakai, of the last Samurai on the Tsushima Islands. Jin Sakai, the protagonist, voiced by Daisuke Tsuji, was raised and trained as a samurai.
The main adversary of the story is the brutal and cunning general Khotun Khan of the Mongol Empire. The country of Tsushima is devastated by the invasion of Mogul, and most of the Samurai have died after facing the overwhelming number of Mogol. Now, jin must choose between fighting the way he is taught or use unconventional methods.
Jin will have to master the new fighting style. Way of the Ghost, to defeat the empire and earn the freedom of his countries.
Similar to Sekiro
Upon the release of the gameplay demo. Many noted that the graphics of the game are oddly is eerily similar to that of the popular samurai game Sekiro: Shadow dies twice. Even the grappling hook that was featured in Sekiro But the gameplay of the actual game is yet to be seen.
