CONFIRMED! Bofuri Season 2: Release Date, Cast, Plot and Everything You Need to Know

The popular Japanese anime BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out surprised all its viewers with a comeback for another season! Season 1 ended in a way that fans weren’t much expecting Season 2. However, on the same day season 1 ended, the series was renewed for a second season. Now the fans are eagerly looking forward to watching season 2, which will show more adventures of Maple and her mates.

     Bofuri Season 2 Release Date

As the series ended on March 25, 2020, Funimation, which is the main online streaming service of the anime, announced on its official website and twitter handle that BOFURI would return for season 2 soon this year.

The official release date has not been disclosed as the season is still in the making, but the release is expected around the year’s fall. The makers have also not given us any trailer yet.

You can catch up with season 1 on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu.

The Plot of Bofuri Season 2

Unfortunately, there’s no plot for season 2 to share.

Season 1 became a hell lot of fun by its end. Season 2 will pick up the story from where the twelfth and the last episode of the series ended. We saw Maple activate her majestic ATROCITY form to win the battle against Payne. However, she lost the failed in the task of achieving the most orbs from other guilds and ended up in third place.

In the end, we saw everyone enjoy a feast and reminisce about the events of this competition. A great closure, isn’t it? This is the reason we can’t predict what will happen next.

The makers also have not hinted for any storyline for season 2, but we’ll definitely watch The Maple Tree head on to more thrilling missions to give us another adventurous ride on the VR MMO game.

The Cast of Bofuri Season 2

The cast of season 2 will include most of the protagonists from season 1. We’ll have the fantastic duo of Kaede Honjo, aka Maple [Voiced by Kaede Hondo] and Risa Shiramine, aka Sally [Voiced by Ruriko Noguchi] back. Apart from these two, the members of the Maple Tree – Kasumi, Kanade, Kuromu, Iz, May, and Yui will be seen in season 2. Some others from the Order of The Holy Sword and the Flame Emperors can also be there next time.

More of the cast will be revealed as soon as the trailer drops.

    An Overview to the Anime

Animated by Silver Link and directed by Shin Onuma and Mirai Minato, season 1 first aired on January 8, 2020, and concluded on March 25, 2020, on AT-X, ABC, and a few more. This anime is about an introvert girl Kaede approached by her friend Risa to play an MMO game despite her reluctance. In the game, she goes by the name Maple and tries to run away from any harm by using all her skill points and master her defense. With this, she defeats numerous monsters in the game and creates many friendships along the way. The show entails all the adventures of her team in a very electrifying way, which is greatly loved by the fans, and we expect nothing less from season 2.
