Sony previously didn’t reschedule the release date of an upcoming sequel of Spiderman: Far From Home, while various studios have been pushing the release date sometime later, including Marvel Studios. Now, the fans have to wait a little longer to watch the sequel as Sony has finally announced its slate of delays.
Tom Holland starrer Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spiderman 3 was scheduled to hit the theatres on July 16, 2021, but now the release date has been pushed back to November 5, 2021. The untitled third sequel of 2015’s Spiderman: Homecoming will likely reveal the fate of Peter Parker as his identity as a friendly neighborhood superhero was uncovered in Spiderman: Far From Home.
Disney and Marvel Studios had already rescheduled the release dates for the upcoming all phase four movies in Marvel Cinematic Universe. Spiderman 3’s delay announcement form Sony has further resulted in Disney to accommodate few Marvel Cinematic Universe movies like Doctor Strange 2 and Thor 4. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been pushed back again to March 25, 2022, after Spiderman took its original release date of November 5, 2021.
The delays of his two films had probably disappointed Marvel fans, but this inevitable delay has caused Thor 4: Love and Thunder to release a week early. Chris Hemsworth starrer Thor 4 will feature Lady Thor, aka Jane Foster (portrayed by Natalie Portman), and will be released on February 11, 2022, a week early from February 18, 2022.
But for Tom Holland fans, it’s not the end of the world; you would still get a movie featuring your beloved actor on July 16, 2021. The long-awaited Sony’s film Uncharted (based on the video game of the same name) will arrive on July 16, 2021, after Sony moved the release date three months ahead from October 8, 2021.
