Star Trek Discovery Season 3: Release Date
The third season had been confirmed back in 2019. However, there was a long gap before any more news on it. However, in October 2019, Alex Kurtzman took to twitter to reveal that the new season will be releasing in 2020. He also attached the official trailer for the season with his tweet, and well, it is looking really good!
However, the date for the release has yet not been confirmed. The release is expected to get delayed further due to the world being in the grip of Covid-19. But the good news is that we will eventually have a third season.
Star Trek Discovery Season 3: Cast
The first official trailer of the new season confirmed several of the cast members who would be returning to the screen. They are Sonequa Martin-Green as Michael Burnham, Mary Wiseman as Sylvia Tilly, and Doug Jones as Saru. The others are Wilson Cruz and Dr. Hugh Culber, Oyin Oladejo as Lt. Joann Owosekun, Emily Coutts as Keyla Detmer, Michelle Yeoh as Emperor Georgiou, and Anthony Rapp as Paul Stamets. The new cast members include Terry Serpico as Admiral Anderson, Sam Vartholomeos as Connor, a junior officer, and Maulik Pancholy as Dr. Nambue.
Star Trek Discovery Season 3: Plot
The third season is going to pick up from where the second season has ended. Kurtzman said that there is a great jump to the future in season 3. He also revealed that the team had gone 1000 years into the future into the 32nd century. This is going to be a crazy experience for us all! Martin-Green also spoke of the future, revealing what the third season would have. Martin-Green said that the future would have some extremely big changes and besides several problems of a very different nature never seen before.
