These movies do make money for Disney, but their nature still remains the talking point. With Mulan being all set to release on 27 March this year, and the other remakes in the past year like the lady and the tramp, Aladdin, Maleficent 2.

The Little Mermaid is a delight – a visual musical and overall appeasing experience to our senses, and the remake that is planned would have to uphold the standard of the original animated movie.

The rumor of Mellisa Mc Carthy being cast for the role of Ursula was disappointing for some who expected a drag queen to play the ever-iconic villain. No release date has been confirmed as yet, but production is rumored to begin sometime in April 2020, which would indicate a release later next year. Well, as of now we all get it that the production cannot proceed due to the COVID 19 outbreak.
