The OG chocolate boy of Indian Cinema, Rishi Kapoor, sadly passed away on Thursday morning after battling cancer for two long years.
The 67-year-old veteran actor was hospitalized on Wednesday morning and his brother (also an actor); Randhir Kapoor confirmed his admission at the hospital yesterday evening. Bobby actor felt sudden uneasy in health and started to have some problems, and then the family rushed him to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, citing an emergency situation.
Amitabh Bachchan, one of the prominent actors in Bollywood and a good friend to Rishi, confirmed the devastating news through his Twitter handle. He tweeted that he was destroyed upon hearing the distressing news of death. Bachchan and Rishi had appeared in the number of Bollywood movies these past years together and were always dear to each other.

The reason for death is rumored to be the complications brought up by his cancer. Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and had visited New York for the treatment. When he returned from the US recently, his close ones confirmed that the treatment was successfully performed.
His beloved wife, Neetu Kapoor, was by his side during his last moments in this world, and he had pretty mesmerizing memories with her—sharing the screen together for a number of twelve films in Bollywood. The couple was survived by their two children—Ranbir Kapoor and Ridhima Kapoor.

Rishi Kapoor’s death came just a day after Indian cinema lost its another gem, Irfan Khan. The Bollywood fandom is appallingly devastated with the sudden demise of the two most celebrated names in the Hindi Cinema. Akshay Kumar, who had shared the screen with both of these veteran actors, claimed that the current time is a nightmare for Bollywood. Few other fans and fellow colleagues expressed the grief and shared prayers with his family.

Rishi Kapoor started his acting career in a lead role from 1973’s blockbuster movie, Bobby that awarded him Filmfare for Best Actor. He was set to appear in the upcoming film, Sharmaji Namkeen but it seems The Body is his final appearance as a brilliant actor in Hindi Cinema.
