The stepdaughter of popular comedian and entertainer, Steve Harvey, was arrested for a hit-and-run case in Beverly Hills.
Lory Harvey, on 20 October 2019, bumped into a parked vehicle on the 200 blocks of Moreno Drive in Los Angeles. The 23-year-old model decided to flee the scene after crashing into the parked car. However, she was apprehended by the police officers near the crash-site and charged with a misdemeanor instead of booking.
The police department received the call of the accident at 9:48 p.m. on Sunday, 20 October, but when they arrived at the scene, they realized the driver of the sedan had fled the scene. The officers detained her while she was walking through the streets just nearby the Moreno Drive; they charged her with two misdemeanors.
As required by the law, Harvey must have called the police and informed about the situation, but instead, she chose to run away from the collision. So, the police officers charged her for delaying a police investigation and obstructing a peace officer. She was also charged for hit-and-run, resulting in property damage.
She was arraigned at the Los Angeles courtroom, where she pleaded not guilty in the hit-and-run-case. If Lory were found guilty, she would have been jailed for one year in the prison.
Lory even Facetimed her dad moments after she ran away from the crash site. She had smashed her Mercedes G-Wagon into the parked Prius—the accident was so horrible that her G-Wagon flipped at the other side of the road. The police officers claimed that the model was on a call or texting somebody just before the accident.
The accident occurred after the news surfaced that Lory had ended her relationship with the Grammy Award-winner rapper, Sean “Diddy” Combs. The reason for their the quick break-up was reported that Diddy wanted to dedicate his time for his six children and doesn’t want to commit to a long-term relationship.
Lory is currently growing her romance with rapper Future and has been quarantining together at Future’s house while Future is battling his legal issues.
