That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Release Date

The fans have been delighted as That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime has finally been renewed for season 2!

Just before the release of the final episode of the series, the showrunners took on the official account of the anime on March 17, 2019, to announce the second season.

Sources say that we can watch the next season around October 2020. And this just not end here. This season would rather be a split-cour anime. Split-cour anime is a one in which the whole season is divided into two equal parts in terms of the episodes, both of which have a break of 3-4 months between their broadcast. Thus, the second part of the anime will launch sometime in spring 2021.

The season will also have around 24 episodes just like its predecessor, although an official statement regarding this hasn’t been made.  Just like season 1, the next season will be broadcasted on Tokyo MX originally and other channels subsequently.

No trailer for season 2 has been released yet but we will update you as soon as it comes out. You can catch up with season 1 on the Funimation, Crunchyroll, and other streaming services.

The Story of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2

This Anime revolves around the fictional story of an ordinary office worker Satoru Mikami who gets stabbed but reincarnates as a “Slime” in another fantasy world. But he’s not alone as the world is full of people like him who were summoned at some point in their lives. Satoru, who now goes by the name of Rimuru Tempest then makes allies along his way to fight against the bad guys of the world

In season 1, we saw Rimuru going on multiple missions to stop the mess to be caused by the hands of the Orc Lord and other antagonists. Later, Rimuru also takes a human form by eating his destined one, Shizu, and letting her rest in peace in his body.

Season 1 did NOT end on a thrilling note but rather on a very simple one. However, we did see an unidentified shadow spying on Rimuru. Thus season 2 will pick up the story from that place and will cover the 8th Volume of the Manga.

With everything being said, this season is going to be full of thrill, drama, and fun without a doubt. So, stay updated and get ready to wander in the world of That Time I Got Incarnated as a Slime once again!
