American Gods is an American fantasy drama TV series. The TV series is based on a novel with the same name written by Neil Gaiman. It is created by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green for the network Starz. It was first premiered on April 30th, 2017, and we got to season 2 in March of 2019.
After two successful seasons, American Gods is ready for its third season. And Chic Eglee is the man who’s going to the producer this season.
American Gods Season 3 Release Date
Well, due to some unknown reasons, there was a delay in starting production for season 3. But now it looks like the delay has been resolved. And now, production can start on a normal schedule. Though it is not known yet when will season 3 release as no official date has been announced yet. But according to sources, sometime in 2020, it will release but is delayed due to the global pandemic.
American Gods Season 3 Cast
It is highly likely that most of the main cast will be reprising their roles for season 3. But there may be new characters in season 3; we just don’t know them yet.
The main cast includes Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon, Ian McShane as Mr.Wednesday, Emily Browning as Laura Moon, Crispin Glover as Mr.World, Bruce Langley as the Technical Boy/ Quantum Boy, Yetide Badaki as Bilquis, Pablo Schreiber as Mad Sweeney.
American Gods Season 3 Plot
The show revolves around Shadow Moon, who is released from jail early so he can attend his wife’s funeral. But he was approached by Mr.Wednesday with a job offer. Though rejected at first, Shadow Moon ended up taking the job as a driver/assistant/ bodyguard for Mr.Wednesday.
Shadow Moon then finds himself in a hidden world with magic and Gods. The Old Gods here are threatened by the New Gods like Technology and Media. Old Gods are now preparing to defend themselves while Shadow Moon is finding it difficult to adjust to this new world.
