If we talk about history drama, then it defines the culture and makes us aware of our ancestor’s deed. One of the historical drama that came in 2017 for the first time is Knighfall.
Knightfall is a historical fictional drama, or we can say that it is also a television series that premiered on the History channel. The series is created by Don Handfield and Richard Rayner. The running time of the show is of approx 45 minutes. The series has two released seasons in its pocket. Are we getting one more season calls Knighfall Season 3?
The release date of Knighfall Season 3
The Knightfall first premiered on 6 December 2017 and ran till 7 Februaryruary 2018. After sometimes on 13 August 2019, the makers renewed the series for the second season. The second season came on 25 March 2019 and ran till 13 May 2019. Fans were really waiting for season third, but in 2020 May the makers announced about the shut down of the series. It means that we won’t be getting further seasons, at least not for some upcoming years.
The cast of Knightfall Season 3
The series has been shut down, but if by any chance we will get the series back, then we can expect the same cast. They are- Tom Cullen as Landry de Lauzon (the head of Knights Templar), Jim Carter as Pope Boniface VIII, Padraic Delaney as Gawain (a sword’s man), Simon Merrells as Tancrede de Hauteville, Julian Ovenden as William de Nogaret (Counselor of King Philip), Olivia Ross as Queen Joan, Ed Stoppard as King Philip, Genevieve Gaunt as Princess Isabella (daughter of King Philip and Queen Joan).
The plot of Knightfall season 3
The story was based on the success and fall, persecution and suppression of the Knights Templar. The story focuses on the leader of Knights Templar, Landry de Lauzon, who was a brave warrior. He got discouraged by the failures of Templars in Holy Land. When it comes to the actual plot of Knightfall, then nothing is expected as we won’t be getting the third season.
