The fourth season of popular Canadian supernatural-horror series, Wynonna Earp, was reportedly given green-lit, but due to the growing health concerns brought by coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the filming to shut down temporarily. Even though the series wasn’t much critically appreciated, the humor, fun, and action-packed material of the series made it way popular than expected. The hard-core fans of Melanie Scrofano are eagerly waiting for the premiere of the fourth season.
The fans were distressed after hearing that the production might get delayed or canceled due to the financial problems at IDW Entertainment, but their unhappy souls were relieved after realizing that the filming will begin from January 2020. The western horror series was initially scheduled to premiere sometime in 2019, comprising of 12 episodes, but things didn’t go as planned—the release of late 2020 was expected. However, the possible release date again might get pushed to as late as 2021. The production of season 3 was commenced in January, and the first episode of the third season was aired on July 16, 2018.
The filming for the fourth season was reportedly halted on March 16, and we can assume that the majority of filming might have been completed. So, hopefully, if the coronavirus pandemic would get contained in the next two or three months, then Wynonna Earp would possibly release as early as 2021.

Season four will immediately pick up from the cliffhanger that was depicted in the third season. The Earp curse has finally broken, even though it feels good in hearing, but the action came with a huge cost to our center character, Wynonna. Apart from that, the town has suffered from Thanos-snapping like incident as everyone in the town is mission except for Nedley and Wynonna. There was also a cryptic message VALDEZ was displayed on the wall of the Earp Homestead. The fourth season will probably focus on revealing the mystery about that message and Waverly and Doc’s fate after entering the enigmatic garden—all that when fourth season four returns, who knows when.
