Try thinking of combining a hugely famous rock band and a cartoon show. Well, do I sound crazy? But this year that’s what we’re having as Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses joins The Looney Tunes Show.
Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses in The New Looney Tunes Show…..
After Guns N’ Roses reunion, there were talks that they were busy coming up with something new. So, everyone was dumbstruck when Looney Tunes announced the introduction of Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses. The idea in itself was crazy.
After the trailer, one can say that it was hilarious to see the frontman of the band, Axl Rose singing on the stage with the Bugs Bunny and the rest of the characters also joining them. They are seen trying to save the Earth from an angry, social- media loving asteroid with their musical prowess.
Rock to the tune of ‘Rock the Rock’……
Rose was seen in only one episode of the new cartoon series, singing the track ‘Rock The Rock’. The series will air on Boomerang network later this year. The writers of the show, Rob Janas and Kevin Fleming were recently interviewed for the Guns N’ Roses- themed Appetite for Distortion podcast. They said it took 3-4 hours with the star record the song.
In a talk with the writers:
Fleming revealed that the idea to work with Axl Rose popped in his head when he attended one of their shows in which the band entered the stage to the classic Looney Tunes theme. Then and there he decided to have the group as guest stars on The New Looney Tunes show.
Initially, it was hard for the team to get a date with the band because of its immense popularity and busy schedule due to the reunion tour. But then finally, they got Rose on board. The writers also revealed that they were a little skeptical on how to work with the reclusive Axl, but as soon as he started singing, everything smoothly fell into action.
So, this year fans of both- Guns N’ Roses and The Looney Tunes show will be eagerly waiting to watch the highly anticipated episode.
