The Pakistan Airforce’s Pilot has reportedly been captured but as of right now we don’t know his status.
According to Pakistan authorities, this cross border infiltration attempt by the PAF was a response to the Indian Air Strike that Indian Air Force conducted on Tuesday. In the Air Strike, IAF targetted Jaish-e-Mohammad terror base in the Balakot district of Pakistan.
Pakistan Authorities has taken responsibility for this infiltration attempt. Mohammad Faisal, Pakistan’s MoFA spokesperson has said, “Sole purpose of this action was to demonstrate our right, will and capability for self-defence. We do not wish to escalate but are fully prepared if forced into that paradigm.”
