Isabel Anaya, a senior at West Ottawa High School, made history by becoming the first girls’ wrestler in West Ottawa history to win the state championship match. Her achievement not only marked a milestone for her school but also cemented her status as a trailblazer in the sport. Anaya’s victory also made her the first four-time all-state girls’ wrestler in area history.

Nyhof’s 16 points, including four 3-pointers, led Holland Christian to a rivalry win over Hamilton. Riley VanDerHulst (Hamilton) also had a game-high 19 points in a dominating win over rival Holland Christian.
