Amber Portwood is arrested on Friday for domestic violence on her boyfriend, Andrew Glennon while he was holding their one-year-old son.

Amber Portwood, an American reality TV personality from Anderson, Indiana gained popularity after her appearance in series 16 & Pregnant (2009) which showed several girls’ teenage pregnancies and initial months of motherhood.
Besides being a television personality, Amber is also an author. Her parents are Tonya Portwood and Shawn Portwood Sr. and her older brother Shawn Portwood Jr. Portwood’s ex-boyfriend and fiancé Gary Shirley with whom she shares a ten-year-old daughter Leah. Appeared on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom. They got separated when an assault report was filed against Amber with Gary in 2010.

The Incident
Gary won the full custody of their daughter Leah after the divorce. With her current boyfriend and fiancé Andrew Glennon, Teen Mom star has a one-year-old son James who was born on May 8, 2018. The couple first met on Boot Camp: Family Edition in 2017 and dating since then. On Friday, i.e., 7th July 2019 Portwood is charged with domestic battery as she was assaulting her boyfriend, Andrew Glennon.
When the incident took place, Andrew was holding their son James. So The Indiana Department of Child Services is also informed. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department came at their home and took Amber Portwood in their custody.
After talking to the couple, it is still not sure if Amber remains in custody. Marion County Prosecutor will look into the matter and make further decisions regarding the same.
Current Situation
Amber is currently seen in Teen Mom OG, where she revealed that she’s diagnosed with a borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, and addiction issues. In the episode of Dr. Phil, she explained how she was high on illegal medications and drugs during the episodes of Teen Mom, but now she’s all sober and has no intention to do it again.
She’s trying to be good mother whatsoever and is also figuring out to gain half custody of her daughter Leah.
