Mumbai, March 8: Actress Richa Chadha, Who is known for being vocal gender discrimination and women’s right who recently features in a women’s Day special Video with international stars and Grammy Award winners Ed Sheeran, Mary J Blige, Dua Lipa.
The video was an initiative led by a global NGO formed for the women The Circle. This help to raise awareness of the lack of equal women’s rights in across walks of life.
According to the source, The video will feature many more artists from all around the globe including Dua Lipa, Hozeir, Emeli Sande and Ed Sheeran, among others and Richa Chadha is the only Indian who features in the video.
Richa said in a statement, “Excited to be a part of this video” “Last year, a survey claimed that India is the worlds most unsafe place for women and I was really embarrassed. I was even more disturbed to read in another survey that 42 percent of women thinks being stirred is okay. There needs to be a drastic shift in mindset if we are to progress in a genuine way as a country.”
Actress also added that “I am grateful that India finds representation in the video,”
