Birmingham, England: Jack Grealish, Aston Villa midfielder was attacked on the field by a supporter in Birmingham City at St Andrew’s during the Aston Villa’s Championship.
This incident occurred when Aston Villa’s Championship when just 10 minutes into the game, a man rushed on to the field and tried to attack midfielder Jack Grealish. The attacker punched Grealish in the face but he was promptly restrained by stewards and other Villa players.
He was later handed over to the West Midlands Police. They made a comment on twitter saying, “ARREST: Following the incident on the pitch involving an attack on an Aston Villa player; a man has been arrested and en route to a custody block. Further details to follow.”
